Tuition is only a part of College costs, text books can be costly. There are ways to purchase your text books for less.
Before purchasing used books:
It is crucial that before purchasing your college text books that you are certain that you have the correct title, author and edition, ISBN. Different editions may contain different information. Titles may even be similar.
In the immediate you might check with friends, relatives, neighbors, or others who may have taken the same courses as you plan to take.

It is not a finite list, there are many more for you to discover. This is but a start for used text book exploring.

Your College bookstore may have a section of used text books for sale. Check with the bookstore prior to your first week. College Bookstores usually start selling days before classes begin. Check with your College to get Bookstore hours.
Once again, be 100% sure that the used book you purchase is indeed the prescribed book for your course(s). Check College calendars and Course information. Remember to check which Edition of the text that you need.
Some Book Thoughts from College Life Coach:
1. Keep your book in fair shape as you may want to resell it next year.
2. Don’t be afraid to make notes on the pages, it may be welcomed by the next owner.
3. Become familiar with the content of your college text book(s) prior to the start of classes, it’s a great help that first week. Even a preview of table of contents helps.
4. Google the author, it helps to know his/her perspective.
